International NO-Diet day

So today is international no diet day. Yes you read that correctly! It is an annual celebration to promote body acceptance. Including but not limited to fat acceptance and body shape diversity. It is also a day dedicated to promoting a healthy lifestyle with a focus on health at any size and in raising awareness of the potential dangers of dieting and the unlikelihood of success. Yes ladies you know that “nothing but carrot diet”, the one that makes you lose 5kgs in a week only to gain it and more next month.


This is honestly my most positive post yet. I have goosebumps whilst typing it in fact I am doing a little chair dance.  In continuing with the spirit of today ( which should be every day) the spirit of promoting body acceptance. I would like to do a special shout to the amazing womyn such as Ashley Graham and Thickleeyonce who are kweens of body positivity and showing that sexy does not come in one size.


Before I go out and eat out my heart out. I have one request ladies go out there and eat whatever your heart desires like your life depended on it and please do tag me in those posts or add some in the comments section.

  1. When I was in matric, I used to hear a lot of negative feedback about fat I was. And not even from people close to me. Still, their words had such an impact on teenage me. I became my biggest critique and, funny enough, I ate my feelings away. These days, when I look back at my school pics, I think “what on earth were those people thinking? I wasn’t fat!”.
    Now, I don’t allow society to pressure me into what it deems the perfect woman. Yes, I need to shed some kgs and be healthier but it’s not for anyone other than me and my wellbeing. So embrace those curves ladies!

    1. People can be so cruel and this culture of commenting on our body weight needs to stop. Sexy comes in all sizes and as long as you are healthy there should be absolutely no problem. Lets embrace our curves and stop hating at our reflection.

  2. Oh chomi I do agree,we as woman should be proud of thickness. We become so obsessed with the “perfect” Body it consumes us. Flaunt what Yr mamma gave u be proud.
