“Your life isn’t about a big break. It’s about taking one significant life-transforming step at a time’
After this last year that felt like a decade, this book that was gifted to me was a blessing in disguise. As it provided that much needed inspiration for this year. I am a huge fan of Oprah and her body of work. This book did not disappoint.
Synopsis
Everyone has a purpose and according to Oprah Winfrey “your real job in life is to figure it out as soon as possible”. In the path made clear , Oprah shares what she sees as a guide for activating your deepest vision of yourself. Thus offering the framework for creating not just a life of success, but one of significance. Oprah opens each of the ten chapters by sharing her own key lessons and the personal stories that helped her set the course for her life. She then brings together wisdom from luminaries in a wide array of fields.
“As long as there is still breath there’s forward.”
Final thoughts
If you are an avid fan then you have mostly watched most of the episodes or rather interviews where the life lessons were originally shared. I still enjoyed it as there were some new kernels of wisdom. I have found that it is best to savor this book and read it by bit so you can really absorb and apply some of these lessons learned. It is definitely one of those books I will re-read when I need a pick me up or a reminder of the importance of the Journey.
