How to not feel guilty about your success or happiness whilst there’s suffering [ in the midst of a pandemic]

Happy Monday beloveds. What a blessing it is to be alive and have breath and our health. On this inspire Monday I want to talk to those of us who struggle to really be seeped in Joy whilst there is so much suffering. At the beginning of this year I declared that this is the year of Love and Restoration.

As you may know from my recent post, I am getting married and so many other wonderful things are happening in my life. Yet somedays I find myself struggling to really enjoy this moment. With so many of our loved ones still dying losing their jobs and there still being utter chaos in our world. It really needs to be left in rice overnight.  I know that I am not the only one so I thought today let me just encourage you. I want to let you know that not only is it normal to celebrate  your happiness in the midst of this pandemic. It is also truly brave. Yes you are brave to not let our present circumstances define you and be the be all and end all.

Things to remember when that unwanted/ unnecessary guilt tries you

  • This moment is all you have so embrace it fully, be present and let joy seep through you unashamedly.
  • Our existence is a pendulum today is your day to be overjoyed tomorrow it will be your friends turn to be joyful.
  • You are worthy of experiencing joy and success.
  • Happiness is not finite. Your being happy does not reduce the happiness available to others in the world. If anything, happiness breeds more happiness.

I hope todays short dose of inspiration gives you the permission you have been waiting for. Permission to exhale and enjoy  your good news, your success. Let us continue to be empathetic and stay safe. Praying for protection for all of you over this week.
