3 hard truths to accept in order to move from being inspired to productive
Happy Monday! For those of us who are in the thick of it with Autumn hope you are keeping warm. In todays post for Inspiration Monday I am sharing with you three hard truths I have had to accept in order to move from being inspired to productive.
-
You are never going to feel like doing it!- but do it anyway.
This morning it was harder to get out of bed, the rain and my blankets were working together. After a few snooze buttons I had to remind myself of this hard truth. I am never going to feel like it, but after my morning yoga stretch and workout I was happy that I had pushed through. I have this truth and some of my goals on my board as a reminder and as a push to do it anyway. This applies for all our goals.
2. The fear and self doubt never truly go away.
Anytime I try to reach a new goal the self doubt and negative thought kick in to gear. Sadly sometimes I let it thrive longer than it should. However thankfully I journal and I’m able to go back to my entries where I have pushed through. whilst the fear and negativity have tried to keep me back or keep me stagnant. I look to those entries to remind me this is not my first mountain nor is it my last.
3. Self discipline/ self mastery is not a lofty ideal to attain someday it’s a habit cultivated everyday.
You can read all the motivational books in the world and play all the inspiring videos you can find but it wont mean anything if you don’t have self discipline. That is cultivated in the trenches every day, every minute pushing past your own feelings and self sabotaging habits.
What other truths have you had to accept so you can be both inspired and productive? Be sure to let me know in the comments section. I know we are heading into four day work weeks but we can be just as productive. May this be the week you slay the dragon and tick off your to do list.
