Don’t get distracted you have goals to achieve

Happy Chooseday everyone! Life is a series of little choices we make every day, reading this blog is one of them. Today for our inspire corner I want to talk about choosing to not get distracted. Once we have set our goals/ intention or found our purpose things or people will seek to distract us. This is your little wakeup call not to allow it. Simply put don’t get distracted you have goals to achieve.

” Starve your distractions , feed your focus”.

Things that will seek to distract you

Social Media– This one is the most obvious, it’s constantly wanting our attention. Whether by notifications or whatever’s trending. Last week I saw the Stellenbosch racist incident on my Twitter TL and I said “nope not right now”, got into my day. And later in the day when I was available I read on further about it. Thing is usually these sort of things drain my soul and affect my mood, I lose a day or week and nothing changes.

People– These could be people who don’t agree with your choices or goals. Don’t get distracted do not waste your time explaining it to them. The vision didn’t appear to them because this is not group work. Focus.

Self-doubt and negative thoughts.

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7). I always quote this scripture to myself when doubt tries me. Remember we often regret the things we didn’t do, the graves are filled with people who had potential. You are still alive, don’t get distracted. Focus.

I always endeavor to keep these inspiration posts short and sweet. So that you can get on with your day and tick one more thing off of your to do list and get one step closer to your goal. Now put your big person undies on and own this day I believe in you.
