Fat butcher the steakhouse every meat lover needs to experience

    February 6, 2019

On my first night in Stellies my friends wanted to treat me and took me to the fat butcher. The book lover in me loved the book shelves had to stop myself from heading over and choosing a book The service I…

So Chef – celebrating French Cuisine with a South African Twist

    October 19, 2018

This past Saturday I put any ideas of clean eating aside and treated my inner foodie to the annual so chef dinner. For those who don’t know, the So chef program, French Institute of South Africa working alongside  Alliance Francaise network in partnership with department of Education. Brings in a Chef to visit schools, host cooking workshops and other various programs that culminate in a four handed ( two chefs one menu) gastronomic Dinner. This year they have brought in four chefs to tour South Africa and Lesotho. In East London we were lucky to have Chef Khalid El Kasimi. This was my second So Chef dinner so to say…

About This Site

Welcome to Sandys-place

“Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing that we will ever do” – Brene Brown

So you might have stumbled onto my blog or your one of my unlucky tribe members who were threatened with having no wine for a month in order to read this but here you are. I want to invite you into my space where I aim to take off my mask and stand in my truth and hopefully inspire others to do the same.

I hope it feels like we are girlfriends having a conversation over a glass of wine. Where we discuss Virginia Woolf, Chimamande Ngozi but also the latest brow trends, where certain posts will resonate with your inner most being or your funny bone. I commit myself to honest writing and all I ask is your time.

I hope this is the beginning of something magical.

Xoxo
